I The Mars Volta hanno rilevato alcuni dettagli riguardo al loro nuovo album, Amputechture. Il rilascio è previsto con la Strummer/Universal il 15 Agosto negli Stati Uniti, e l'11 Agosto in Europa. L'album è prodotto da Omar Rodriguez-Lopez e mixato da Rich Costey. La cover è sarà creata da Jeff Jordan.

La band ha collaborato ancora con il chitarrista dei Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Frusciante. Le due band faranno un tour insieme ad Agosto.

The Mars Volta have revealed some details about their upcoming full length, Amputechture. The album is slated for a release through Strummer/Universal on ugust 15th in the US, and August 11th in Europe. The album was produced by Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and was mixed by Rich Costey. The artwork will be created by Jeff Jordan.

The band again worked with guitarist John Frusciante of upcoming tourmates the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The bands will be touring together in August.

The Mars Volta is touring on their recent live disc Scab Dates and full length, Frances the Mute.
